After crossing the lighter wind ridge yesterday, we are now in the westerlies, sailing along with a very puffy SW wind. Last night wind was around 20 KT which allowed to sail in a very fast angles all through the night, while this morning the winds have moderated a bit, holding around 15 knots, still from the SW direction.
We are in visual sight and AIS range of DFRT, AKZO, and TBRU, while the other group is further N and only know their positions in the 6 hour skeds.
In the next hours we expect the winds to stay around 20 knots, but start veering to the WSW and W this evening, and we are likely to end up gibing to port early tomorrow. In the longer term we are still keeping an eye on the forecasts for the gale forming late Wednesday through Friday.
All is very good onboard, enjoying our last warmish days before we det further south into colder waters.
