MAPFRE lead a spectacular start from Auckland
At 14:00 h local time in the City of Sails (02:00 am in Spain) MAPFRE began leg seven of the Volvo Ocean Race.

7,600 miles, extreme conditions and the legendary rounding of Cape Horn. Xabi Fernández’s crew are gearing up to face the start of one of the most eagerly-awaited legs in the round-the-world race this Sunday.

MAPFRE stronger still after their podium position in Auckland
On Tuesday 27th February, MAPFRE crossed the finish line in third place in the City of Sails at 13:39h Spanish time, after an extremely tight head-to-head battle with Dongfeng and Turn The Tide On Plastic.
