Our heading is pretty much direct to Cape town now, and we continue doing good speeds over the last days riding a NW wind flow ahead of a front. Conditions are quite wet on deck, like pretty much pressure water hose constantly washing the deck, but we are enjoying here the quick and fast ride towards the finish.
We did sail under foggy conditions at times yesterday, and also most of today, with poor visibility and overcast skies. Although still north of 40º South, when fog cleared we managed to see some albatross, typical of the Southern Oceans.
Temperatures have cooled down over the last days, but still remain mild considering our latitudes.
All goes well onboard MAPFRE, with everyone here enjoying those exciting fast conditions.
